What our customers have to say about their Carp Canada vacation
Mal and Steve - Great week, best weeks fishing we've ever had, great food and company, nothing is too much trouble, can't wait to return.
Paul and Lin Kunzli - Great weather and the fishing especially Lin's 38lb 4oz.
Matt Digweed - Personal best caught here. I need to go back to work for a rest!
Trevor and Judith put me up at short notice and I have been involved in a Carp fishing extravaganza. I have used the pontoon boat each morning to get amongst the vast shoals of common Carp - the majority between 20lbs. - 40lbs. I have caught fish every day, the biggest 35lbs. 14oz. I have also fished from the shore - no more than two-rod lengths out. Using Trevor's ground bait mix I have caught up to 25lbs.
Thanks for the great food too - I only needed to worry about setting my alarm.
Steve Cramer - Total number of fish 146 all caught on site. Seven of which were mirrors, largest being 30.5lbs.
I have totted up our catch record and it seems that our math is pretty poor. We exceeded the 1 tonne mark earlier than we thought. We actually banked 2500lbs 4oz. between the two of us.
Here are some stats.:
15 were 20lbs.
Smallest was 9.5lbs., largest was 25lbs.
Average weight was approx. 15.5lbs., and at least one twenty was caught from every swim fished.
Ian and Ron -
Thanks for the incredible weeks fishing, both myself and my Dad enjoyed the greeting that we got and also the fishing that we had.
We were limited by the weather but that didn't stop us.
Fishing a swim that no one had entertained before, we had a good head of Carp, only fished for approx. six hours a day.
In the end we managed 68 Carp, 50 between 15lbs - 30lbs., one 31lbs.
I believe this to be incredible taking into consideration that the river was in swell of nearly 6ft.. Any person in there right mind at home would have packed up and not entertained fishing.
The fishing in Canada at Carp Canada I believe is the most prolific I have ever experienced up until now and would believe that it must get better in the summer when the river is slow, mind you having taken 4 of the 17 twenties in just 40 minutes on one rod in four casts, I don't think that is bad in the winter.
Your hospitality was brilliant and we both appreciated the laugh and the knowledge that you gave us even when spirits were a bit down.
Hope to see you next year, best wishes Ian and Ron.
Simon Hibber (Hooter) Terry Sayers (June) -
What can we say!!! Fantastic, first ever visit, great time, both of us caught personal best's, Terry 28lbs. 5oz. and I caught 28lbs. common, also caught a big mirror over 23lbs.
Food is excellent. See you next year.
Kev - Last day total 146 fish caught. Loads of mixed twenty's. Fantastic fishing, back next year.
Dave - Weather great, fishing spot on, meals excellent. .
Mick -
Lost first three fish. Upped hook from 6 to 4 and then netted 13 in 8 hours.
7 Twenty's plus including one mirror. All fought like the devil.
Day two gave up counting. None stop action! Real arm aching stuff.
Forgot the boilies. Corn out-fishes everything.
Hospitality first class. Breakfast is not to be missed (skinny bacon though).
Weather was perfect.
Thank you Trevor and Judith, see you again, Mick.
Dear Trevor, Judith and David.
Thank you for a great holiday, it couldn't be any better. The fishing was great, caught more than 250 fish, biggest one a common carp 34lbs., 10 mirrors biggest 20lbs. fully scaled.
Will be back next time to catch the 40lb.
See you next year.
